Jr. Youth is Praying for You!

Jr Youth is Praying for You

Happy Spring to North Shore.  Hope you are all enjoying the warmer weather (it could still be another 10 to 15 degrees ) as much as I am.  I wanted to inform you all that the Jr Youth group is joining with the Wednesday night prayer group to pray for our weekly prayer requests.  Well to be fair we only join with them in Spirit but never the less they pray for you.  Each week North Shore prints out the weeks prayer request and on Wednesday night the 5:30 prayer group prays through it.  The past couple weeks, the Jr Youth has joined during our weekly meeting.  We also take the prayer sheet and praying through the names and the requests put on the sheet.  Each youth is encouraged to pray out load for the people mentioned on the sheet.  I am really excited to be a part of this awesome development.
I am thankful that I got a chance to preach on Palm Sunday.  As you know I preached on the importance of reading scripture regularly.  As such in Jr we are going through the book of 1 John for 5 to 6 weeks.  We will read it together and they are encouraged to read at home as well.
As for the senior youth group it seems to be movie season.  A couple weeks ago we went to see the feature film “God’s Not Dead”.  I encourage any who like movies to give this one a try.  This coming Friday we are seeing “Heaven is For Real”.  This movie is based off of the best selling book by the same name.  It is also the season where our soon to be graduates will be completing their final semester of high school and making final preparations for this next huge stage in there life.  Please keep them all in your prayers.  The soon to be graduating students are Crystal Graziano, Shyann Hoffman, Marcy Pearson, Kaitlyn Schomer and Johnny Kopsi.  Please encourage them if you get the chance.
Finally please pray for me and the youth ministry in general because as I related on Palm Sunday we have our work cut out for us so that our youth stay close to Jesus as they leave high school and move on to the next stage of life. I also want to say THANK YOU for allowing me to lead worship with the youth a few Sundays back.  The youth love to worship and were so excited to lead up front.  We pray you were blessed.

Until the Word all hears,
Michael Casale
