Jamaica is Awesome

Hello everybody at North Shore Church. Greetings from sunny Montego Bay Jamaica. We are already more than half way complete with our mission. I am sorry that I have not written as of yet but internet access is not very abundant where we are staying. I would love to say that our team is having a great time and have adjusted very well to the Jamaican culture. Today is Monday August 12th and this is our third full day of work ministry at Montego Bay Christian Academy. We have been painting rooms, swing sets and many other areas at the school. It is a great opportunity for our youth to show the heart of Christ by being a servant. Remember Jesus Himself came to serve and not be served. When we follow His leading we too become servants. It is an encouragement to me to see our students serving the staff and students at this school.

Sunday we had the opportunity to attend a Jamaican church service, which impacted everyone on the team. The message that was preached was the importance of seeking first the Kingdom of God and all the other things will be added unto you. The point that was taken home was that we do not have to worry about what we will eat and were etc., but that we seek and obey God as our number one priority and that God Himself will take care of our needs. This was encouraging to me because is the message I wanted the team to be impressed with most. After church we had a great relaxing day at the beach and enjoyed the day of rest. This morning we were able to lead worship and devotions at a home for the mentally ill. It was a sweet time to be able to minister to the "least of these."

Anyway I must get back to working at the school. I hope you are all going to facebook and seeing my wife's updates. Pray for us this afternoon as we will be going to the orphanage. Pray that we would have the love of Christ in us for the kids that will be there. Also pray that we would continue to endure the heat.

Until the Whole World Hears
